Tyrannosaur Symposium Update

During the weekend of September 16–18, Burpee Museum and Northern Illinois University will be hosting a major scientific meeting at the Museum and Clock Tower Resort in Rockford, IL. This event, “The Origin, Systematics, and Paleobiology of Tyrannosauridae,” is the first scientific meeting ever on the life and times of tyrannosaurs, the fiercest predatory dinosaurs the world has ever known.

The year 2005 marks the 100th anniversary of the official naming of Tyrannosaurus rex. On June 10th & 11th, 2005 The Black Hills Museum of Natural History is hosting an international symposium showcasing the latest research on T. rex. Researchers from around the world will be present to talk on all aspects of the tyrant king and his environment. This once in a lifetime event is open to the public. Early registration is advised, as seats are limited.
